Oyster Point Medical was founded to give early-stage interventional medical device projects a fast, reasonably-priced, and high quality option for catheter work.

New projects get crowded out of larger manufacturers, leading to an industry which prioritizes high volumes and big budgeted projects. Smaller innovators are often left with long lead times, unpredictable development costs, limited flexibility, and partners that are not built for the pace of development.

OPM uses our decades of experience to provide faster lead times, better prices, and more technical focus to new projects in whatever way best serves the engineering team.

Austin Bly

Founder & CEO

Austin Bly is a medical device engineer and founder with over a decade of hands-on experience in catheter-based interventional devices and endoscopes across cardiology, urology, general surgery, neurology, and orthopedics. His core expertise lies in the key pre-commercial development cycle — design, manufacturing process development, and clinical translation. At Zenflow, he was a core member of the team that took the Spring System interventional therapy for BPH and the Spring Scope disposable flexible cystoscope through PMA and 510(k) clearance, respectively. Earlier at Edwards Lifesciences, he contributed to multiple structural heart programs achieving first-in-human milestones. Austin founded OPM to bring advanced catheter manufacturing capabilities and endoscopic imaging directly to interventional device innovators. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and is a co-inventor on multiple issued and pending patents in interventional device design.

Benjamin Gray is a creative and highly respected engineering leader with electrical, mechanical, and optical design & manufacturing experience. He has 20+ years of leading product development and medical device design and manufacturing from concept to commercialization. He has a substantial network of development resources and vendors for medical grade imaging systems. As CTO, he has successfully developed robust technology portfolio for multiple endoscope design and manufacturing companies.
